The Ideas Start Coming

Ah, somebody came up with an idea for what a Republican majority could do with the new "buy something" power of the government. Namely, force everyone eligible for militia service (healthy adult males without criminal convictions) to own a rifle, pistol, and ammo, and get training for the same. With Switzerland as an example of a foreign country doing it and us just catching up to their good example.

I'd still oppose it. Shooting, like parenting, is something important enough that it should only be done by volunteers.
